6. Pre-participation Physical Evaluation – completed, dated and signed by parent and physician. (physicals must be completed on an FHSAA form )

5 days of conditioning are mandatory (per FHSAA) before tryouts begin

Athletes must also view a “Concussion in Sports” course before tryouts can begin.

Conditioning begins Monday, 8/13 at 3pm and concludes at 5:00. Please make arrangements for pick up no later than 5:15pm.

Please have both cleats and athletic shoes, in case weather forces the conditioning onto the concrete.

Tryouts begin as soon as the athlete has completed 5 days of conditioning.

Beginning Monday 8/20, tryouts will begin for those who have completed the 5 days of conditioning. Tryouts will run until 5:00. Please make arrangements for pick up no later than 5:30 pm.

There is no set end date for tryouts. The coaching staff will take as much time as necessary to fully evaluate each athlete before selecting a team.

Weightman will provide all of the necessary equipment for participation, however, parents are permitted to provide alternative equipment.

***NOTE*** A tryout may not be granted to all athletes who desire one. Safety of the players is the most important aspect of the game to our coaching staff. Certain athletes may not be quite ready for middle school football, because there are no age or weight divisions, or the lack of experience poses a physical risk. If the coaches feel the player is at too great a risk, it is at their discretion to deny the player a tryout.

Remember: 6th graders are eligible to try out for our athletic teams next year.
Coming to camp is a good way to get a head start.
