Hello Wildcat families,
In the past few weeks we have seen an increase of students having/using their wireless devices for no educational purposes while on campus. Behaviors such as air dropping inappropriate pictures, group chats on Snap Chat, videoing students, sending inappropriate text and pictures, etc. This type of behavior pulls away from our focus of student learning. Starting Monday, October 4th, we will be strictly enforcing this school wide policy. Students who have their cell phone out and on them after 8:30am will have their device collected for them, which then they can pick up at the end of the school day. If a student continues to violate our school wide policy, then discipline consequences will follow.
The time and energy of TEWMS teachers and staff needs to be focused on supporting your student so they are successful. Please speak with your student(s) regarding the use and responsibility of their device while on campus.
